Ngapa Gallery is located in the Docklands precinct on Victoria Harbour, Melbourne, Victoria. We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin nation. Ngapa Gallery is operated by Brett Hall.

Ngapa Gallery retails Australian Aboriginal art. We are located in the Docklands precinct on Victoria Harbour, Melbourne, Victoria. We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin nation.

Ngapa Gallery is operated by Brett Hall who recently moved down from Darwin where he was involved with his family gallery for the last 10 years. Brett is a traditional member of the Marithiel people from the Daly River region and also has family connections in the deserts of South Australia.

Brett is an experienced didgeridoo maker and player, with knowledge of both contemporary and traditional styles. The last four years he has concentrated on learning the traditional styles of didgeridoo from Daly River to Nhulunbuy. Brett is available to teach students from beginners through to experienced players.

Due to family connections, involvement in Aboriginal issues, life-long friendships and an overriding love for fine art, Brett has developed a strong identity and commitment to promoting the art and culture of Australias indigenous people. Brett is also a board member of Art.Trade.

This catalogue focuses on works by prominent Aboriginal artists from Central and Western Desert regions of Australia as well as Arnhemland in the top end of the Northern Territory. It includes works by some of Australias most famous and respected Aboriginal artists. Interest in traditional and contemporary Aboriginal art has exceeded all expectations in the last five years and works by the leading artists are in huge demand. Realisation of the value and importance of this art has led to its inclusion in some of the worlds largest and most valuable art collections.

All paintings are sold with certificates of authenticity and full documentation relating to the artist and the story behind each painting.

We look forward to your custom as we hope to share with you the proud and rich heritage of Australias indigenous art which is deeply rooted in the mythology of the culture, representing at least 40,000 years of artistic expression.

This is only part of our large collection, but should give you an insight to the quality of the art and artists that we represent. Some works may even be sold, but in most cases we can supply other similar paintings by the same artist.
