Josh Lilley Fine Art launched in October 2006. The opening event Rarrk - A Preview, acted as the precursor to a major exhibition taking place in 2007, underlining the gallery's commitment in show-casing art from Arnhemland, which is now arguably the most dynamic and important Aboriginal art within Australia.

Representing John Mawurndjul and some of Australia's other leading contemporary artists through bark paintings and sculpture, Josh Lilley Fine Art's aim is to readdress certain preconceptions towards Aboriginal art by highlighting its reputation as a vibrant art form, giving the public the opportunity to view the development of this work within the context of London's contemporary art environment.

An association with the emergence of certain international and European artists, is also as integral to the program. Working with galleries and other institutions across the world, the gallery is committed to giving its artists maximum exposure, and is proud to be flexible in allowing their development to flourish. Josh Lilley Fine Art represents: Sea-Hyun Lee and Clara S Rueprich.
