Fire-Works gallery emerged as a commercial space in Brisbane in 1993 following the success of Campfire group projects and consultancies- a collective of Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists working collaboratively in the studio since 1988.

Fire-Works gallery exhibitions convey a progressive attitude towards current contemporary art practices striving for dynamic combinations often involving both black and white perspectives. With respect to Aboriginal culture, Fire-Works places a strong emphasis on the contemporary rather than the ethnographic.

Fire-Works gallery specialises in sourcing works from across Australia to build unique private collections; and/or engage corporate and curatorial consultancies, featuring contemporary works from established and emerging Indigenous artists.

Projects include residencies and cultural exchange programs.

Hours are:

• Tuesday to Friday 10am to 6pm
