Australian Aboriginal Art
The Australian Aboriginal Art Gallery has direct access to, and is in regular contact with each of the Aboriginal artists represented on this site. We guarantee the authenticity of all art work and each painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and photographs of the artist with the painting.

Australian Aboriginal Art work by Minnie Pwerle
Minnie’s main subjects for her paintings are Awelye (Women’s Ceremonial body paint) and Bush Melon seed. Minnie Pwerle's paintings show her connection to the desert country she was born in, where food and ceremony are the most important parts of the traditional way of life and are often depicted in the paintings from Utopia.

Heritage and the women's ceremonial body paint are important to her culture.

Australian Aboriginal Art work by Gloria Petyarre
Gloria Petyarre has been one of the most consistently creative artists at Utopia since the early 1990s. She has evolved her dreaming stories by experimenting with both colour and technique. Dreaming stories she paints include the Bush Medicine Leaves and the Mountain Devil Lizard.

Bush Medicine Leaves describes the leaves of a special plant that Aboriginal people used to help heal cuts, bites, skin irritations and also acts as an insect repellant.

Gloria has exhibited and is in many art collections worldwide.
