The Parliament of New South Wales
(NSW) and Campbelltown Arts Centre
have joined forces to support the
Indigenous artists of NSW, by creating
an annual $20 000 Indigenous art prize.
The prize is awarded to an outstanding
Indigenous artist who lives or was born
in the state. It is designed to help
promote the unique Indigenous cultures
of NSW. Winning works are acquired into
the Parliament of NSW Art Collection,
ensuring that works by the state’s
Indigenous artists remain a feature
of that collection.
