The center is in it’s second year of operation. Most of the work currently at the Center is dot based painting in the Eastern Arrernte style, a very broad palette of colour is used, often in symmetrical design with strong elements of ancient symbolic language. There is also significant Warlpiri influence on many artists, working in the Yuendemu style. The center also produces paper mache sculpture, decorated clocks and picture frames. Some Artists currently working at the center are; Roseanne Ellis, Marie Elena Ellis, Rosina Dickson, Max Turner, Caroline Peters, Therese Davis. Audrey Miller . Amoonguna Glass is beginning very soon! By May 2008, Amoonguna Art Center will be blowing recycled glass, from it’s revolutionary new hot glass recycling studio.

June 14/15 08 will be “Mwerre Alpeme” Arrernte for ‘Good Return’ our inaugural festival, celebrating a Recycling themed Indigenous Art Festival, the first of it’s kind in Central Australia. The Center is a member of Desart, and strongly adheres to best practice in terms of authenticity, certification, as well as fair dealing with Artists.
