About the Aboriginal Art Directory

The Aboriginal Art Directory stems from creative vision and ideas as public property, a public space for everyone to have a shared experience. The Aboriginal Art Directory will grow from collective and shared efforts.

The Aboriginal Art Directory operates under the following practices:

  • All listings on the Aboriginal Art Directory are free
  • We list all Aboriginal art centres, galleries, online stores, museums, and self representing Aboriginal artists. We do not exclude listings
  • We support the Industry in promoting provenance and provide comprehensive, positive information about Aboriginal art centres and galleries that excel in promoting and selling legitimate and authentic artworks
  • We believe that transparency is the best online approach to demonstrating best and worst practice
  • We work with the industry, and welcome feedback and comments from any organisation or person
  • We do not take fees or commissions for any referral or sale generated through the Aboriginal Art Directory and its materials
  • We will continuously improve the quality of our content and search capabilities to assist researchers and buyers to make informed decisions when purchasing Aboriginal art
